Bleed Kit Locator For Avon and Somerset!

A successful partnership, HeartSafe and Avon and Somerset Police hope to scale up the number of bleed kits which have already been rolled out to 150 locations, with plans for them to be at 300 other locations by the end of the year. Any medical items in the Bleed Kit that were not supplied by HeartSafe and their partners are the responsibility of the individual or organisation that registered their Bleed Kit on the HeartSafe Bleed Kit map. This includes replacing these items by the specified due date, regardless of whether the kit includes a dispenser or not.

Catastrophic Bleed?

Is this an emergency?

Call 999, ask for the ambulance service and follow their instructions.

If you believe a person has suffered a catastrophic bleed, immediately ring either 999 or 112 and ask for the ambulance service. They will advise you on what action to take and either inform you where your nearest bleed kit is located or ask if you have a bleed kit. The operator will remain on the line and ask you a series of questions which should only take you a few moments and advise you on what steps to take to assist in emergency.
