Making Sport across the UK HeartSafe®

With the news and developments of the past few days regarding Bolton Wanderers footballer Fabrice Muamba, it makes everyone realise that even the fittest sports people can suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest without warning.  The prompt action of the Emergency Services and the use of an AED may well have helped to give Fabrice a second chance of life.  Everyone is praying for his early recovery.

Over five years ago AED Locator (E.U.) Ltd, working with the Arrhythmia Alliance and Great Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust, led the way across the UK in promoting Public Access Defibrillators (PADs).  Just a few are shown below and many more can be viewed further down this page.  Every sporting venue should have a PAD and we would ask you to join in by contacting us so that we can explain how simply this can be achieved.

Pictured are examples of four locations where Public Access Defibrillators have been installed at Sports Clubs - Llanrhaeadr Football Club near Oswestry in Wales, Mendip Spring Golf Club near Congresbury in North Somerset, Bath Rugby Football Club in the City of Bath, and Shipston Leisure Centre in Warwickshire.

If you would like to find out how to make your Sports Club HeartSafe® then please contact us on 01275 332323 or email us at enquiries@aedlocator.org.
