Urban Cottage Industries invests in an AED and first aid training for all staff

Urban Cottage Industries, the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of vintage lighting and print products, ensure every member of staff is certified in emergency first aid.  Having found out about Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA), it was decided that everyone at Urban Cottage Industries should receive emergency first aid training.

The Yorkshire based business decided to invest in an AED after discovering the unequivocal medical evidence that a combination of CPR and AED offer the best chance of survival.  Stanley Wilson says; "£1,000 for a British made AED and a couple of hundred more for regular training in how to use it would seem like good value for money to someone having a heart attack, their nearest, dearest or work colleagues".  Urban Cottage Industries also registered their AED on AED Locator's map. /AEDLocations

Urban Cottage Industries are fortunate no employee OHCA's have happened but it is enough with national statistics to take the well-being of their employees and customers seriously.

More information about how to survive a cardiac arrest and what Urban Cottage Industries does to prepare should an accident occur can be found here: www.urbancottageindustries.com/blog/first-aid
