Author: Sue Stilwell/Monday, March 24, 2014/Categories: Communities, New Cabinet Installations, Telephone Kiosks, Village Shops

The first Public Access Defibrillator has been installed on the High Street in Portishead. This can be found outside Boots the Chemists Ltd, 50 High Street, Portishead, Bristol (the postcode for Sat Nav users is BS20 6EL).

This life saving equipment has been provided to the residents and visitors of Portishead by The Lions Club of Portishead.  They have announced a new project called "Lions for Life", which aims to provide public access defibrillators within their local community.

This is the first PAD provided by The Lions Club with additional units to be placed in other parts of Portishead when more funds are raised.
